Are you ready to Make a change for the better?

Bring it!

I am 31 year old stay at home mother of children that range from 10 to 4 months. I don't have a lot of time to workout, but I do it because I don't want to look like or feel like a tired old stay at home mom who has no energy. No, not me. I plan on being a healthy, fit momma for the rest of my life. If I don't do it now I won't do it later. No Excuses!

Insanity Mom Results Before and After Pictures

I am looking  for people like me who will make the time to be healthy and get fit not only for themselves, but for there family.

Are you willing to make a change?

Are you willing to get up earlier?

Are you willing to fight out when you feel like you have nothing left?

If so, join me and we will do it together. I also have my main man (my hubby) to help encourage me because we have decided eat healthy and get fit together.  I will have to say it is much easier when you and your spouse are on the same page. I did P90X after my fourth child and had good results, however I only did it three days a week and did not make the best health choices, especially when my husband would bring home donuts. If your spouse is not on the same page, don't let it stop you! Join me on teambeachbody and  I will help and encourage you to make better choices.

No matter your health or age it is never to late to make a change. If your health is really bad you will have to address that first. Personally I prefer the more natural, holistic approach to health problems. You can always start with your diet. Get rid of the junk food, soda's, excess alcohol and smoking.  Doing this will give you a good head start. Also start walking. It make not feel like much but it is a start. Beachbody offers a variety of programs such as Tai Cheng which is geared toward senior citizens or anyone who does not want to do a high intensity workout. Don't let genetics, health problems or anything else get in your way. Take your health back!

I personally am doing Insanity right now and have two and a half weeks to go (see my progress here). So excited! But it does not end there. Me and my hubby are going on to do P90X next. These are the workout options we have chosen but there are so many more out there. Choose on to suit your needs and goals.

About Me

by Dana Marie I am 31 year old stay at home mother of children that range from 10 to 4 months. I don't have a lot of time to workout, but I do it because I don't want to look like or feel like a tired old stay at home mom who has no energy. No, not me. I plan on being a healthy, fit momma for the rest of my life. If I don't do it now I won't do it later. No Excuses!

Below are the thing I have added to my daily and workout routine to get the most out of my workout.

-ShakeOlogy - I eat five small meals a day. So ShakeOlogy is a great way to get in one of those meals without having to prepare an actual a meal. I was a little skeptical at first but it was a lot more filling than I thought. There are also a lot of ways to make it so it gives you some variety. My husband also does one each day. Don't let the price throw you off. It is still cheaper and healthier than buying a meal. Plus if you become a coach you can get 25% off.

-Advocare Muscle Strength- I take this 60 minutes before I workout to enhance my results. See more details below:

Helps decrease recovery time between intense workouts*

Promotes building lean muscle mass and reducing fat tissue*

Enhances muscle growth in conjunction with strength training*

Encourages repair of muscle tissues*

Helps the body adapt to physical and mental stress*

-Advocare Arganine Extreme- I take this 30 minutes before I workout especially if I am doing Insanity. Details below.

Provides and nourishes the precursors necessary for muscle growth and recovery*

Provides excellent support for cardio workouts*

Helps enhance strength and stamina, especially when used with AdvoCare® Muscle Fuel*

Helps support nutrient delivery to muscles*

Helps promote short-term increases in nitric oxide levels*

Nourishes a healthy respiratory system*

Helps maintain a healthy cardiovascular system*

Helps support healthy blood pressure levels already in the normal range*

Helps enhance reproductive function*

Aids in maintaining a healthy, efficient immune system*

-Recovery Shake- I drink a recovery shake after my workout is completed. For mine I use raw milk, raw eggs, chia seeds, hemp seeds, and greens. If you don't have axcess to these items, beachbody has their own recovery shake.

-Advocare Spark- I drink this if I am in need of more energy. It is a caffeinated (with green tea) health drink that I use as an alternative to coffee. As I said I am a Mom of five so this comes in handy.

What is the Harris Benedict equation?

May 20, 2013
The Harris Benedict equation is a method used in estimating a individual's basal metabolic rate (BMR) and daily caloric needs. It is also called the Harris-Benedict principle. Every body is different and each has different caloric needs. This formula will give you an idea of how many calories your body should consume each day to maintain its weight. To loose weight you would subtract 500 calories. To gain weight you would increase your calories. I used this equation (shown below) to start counting calories and start losing weight. If you would like to get more tips for exercise and weight loss join teambeachbody! Step 1:
Men - BMR = 66.4730 + (13.7516 x weight in kg) + (5.0033 x height in cm) – (6.7550 x age in years)

Women -
BMR = 655.0955 + (9.5634 x weight in kg) + (1.8496 x height in cm) – (4.6756 x age in years)

Step 2:
Multiply the number figured from above to the number below.
Little to no exercise Daily calories needed = BMR x 1.2 Light exercise (1–3 days per week) Daily calories needed = BMR x 1.375 Moderate exercise (3–5 days per week) Daily calories needed = BMR x 1.55 Heavy exercise (6–7 days per week) Daily calories needed = BMR x 1.725 Very heavy exercise (twice per day, extra heavy workouts) Daily calories needed = BMR x 1.9
